2015 Panini Nebraska Blaster

By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor

2015 Panini University of Nebraska trading cards look at some of the biggest names to put on a Cornhuskers uniform over the years. Whether it’s on the football field, basketball court or baseball diamond, some notable names have honed their skills at the school.

Taking on the same format as Panini’s other college-specific 2015 set, the base set is easily attainable. Retail boxes have two hits while smaller blasters have one.

The main portion of the 2015 Panini University of Nebraska set has 50 cards. Alex Gordon, Roger Craig, Ndamukong Suh and Prince Amukamara are among those on the checklist. If this were 2008, the inclusion of Joba Chamberlain may have been met with a little more excitement. He’s in there too. So is 2015 NFL rookie, Ameer Abdullah.

Each of the base cards has Silver (/99), Gold (/25) and Black (/10) parallels.

Signatures is self explanatory, bringing much of the product’s autograph content. Craig, Gordon and Abdullah are among the seven autographs available in the product. These also have three sets of parallels like the base set.

Abdullah and Terran Petteway are the only players with memorabilia cards.

On the insert end, Honors recognizes players with big years during their stay at the school. Cards are dedicated to major award wins and recognition like AP College Player of the Year and the Dick Howser Trophy for for national college baseball player of the year.

I understand that but at the same time, we want to provide info in a way that’s accessible and that means breaking them apart so that someone looking for specifics can find it. They may not be the biggest releases but that’s also why we’re posting details earlier in the day. On my end it would be much easier to do one post too but that wouldn’t be as helpful to those who might be looking for it.

Is there any update to the release date for this? I was hoping to get a couple boxes for someone as a christmas present.
