2015 Panini Prizm Football Rookie Photo Variations Gallery
If you’re ripping through some packs of 2015 Panini Prizm Football and come across a base card that doesn’t have the usual action shot, you probably don’t have a usual base card. Rather, it could be one of the 2015 Panini Prizm Football Rookie Photo Variations.

Unlike a lot of other football variations, these ones go a little further than switching the ball between the left and right hands. Rather, they come with a posed portrait. Well, all except Phillip Dorsett who has a more typical ball-no ball difference between his two cards.
The list of 2015 Panini Prizm Football Rookie Photo Variations isn’t long. It’s limited to ten key standouts. Jameis Winston, Todd Gurley and Marcus Mariota are among them.
Panini hasn’t released odds on the variations.
In addition to the base versions, Rookie Photo Variations have four parallels: Prizm, Gold Prizm (/10), Gold Vinyl Prizm (/5) and one-of-one Black Pulsar Prizm.
Here’s a gallery of variations alongside their base cards to provide a little added clarity.

Prism looks the same every year! The first year was a novelty, but little has changed since- except the higher prices!
I like the portrait variant – much easier to spot and the photos are nice. I agree with David though – the look of these cards are tired and are very similar to Select. Maybe borderless action shots would give the product a fresh look.
I like the rookie class. But it just seems like the need to come up with a better concept. Topps just makes Panini look sad……….. Why dont the make a better product.
