2015-16 Panini Prizm Basketball is ready to shine

A brand that has steadily evolved over since its arrival in card stores three years ago, 2015-16 Panini Prizm Basketball seeks to maintain its spot as one of the most popular and eye-catching products around. This year, Panini America has taken their game to a new level with hard-signed autographs from members of the new rookie class, but there will also be some new types of inserts and parallels to draw in both new and old fans.
Collectors have the option to choose between four-card hobby and 12-card jumbo packs. A 20-pack hobby box contains one autograph card and a dozen Prizm parallels – of which at least three will be numbered. Those optioning for the 12-pack jumbo boxes get two autographs along with 22 Prizms and six of those will bear a serial numbers.
Even after the recent announcement that 2015-16 Panini Complete was to have the largest base set this season at 330 cards, 2015-16 Panini Prizm Basketball surprisingly will top it with 400 cards of its own. One of the most interesting aspects of it is that it will feature more than 40 different rookies to collect.
A product that carries on a fine tradition of colorful and often limited parallels, 2015-16 Panini Prizm Basketball drops 12 of them in every box. This season marks the debut of a hobby-exclusive Mojo Prizm and the others announced in the original product solicitation are the always-popular Gold Prizms along with Rookie Purple Prizms.
One of the most visually striking insert sets to come out of Prizm is back for another year with the confirmation of Fireworks. There is also a USA Basketball set which will certainly have its fair share of fans. New to the brand are the horizontal Point Men cards which examines the NBA’s best.
As noted in Beckett Basketball, Panini was able to get plenty of signatures from this season’s top freshmen at the 2015 NBA Rookie Showcase and the company prepared for the event well in advance with a plan to add hard-signed content to 2015-16 Panini Prizm Basketball. The end result is a strong Rookie Signatures collection which will show players in their pro or collegiate uniforms that is sure to draw plenty of attention on the secondary market. Panini has stated that there is not only a Rookie Signatures Prizms version, but also a Hyper Prizm edition that will be numbered to just 10 copies each.
