This may be one of the best new sets Panini has done in a while. I love the idea of getting back to basics, with a large base set, keeping the parallels simple and to a minimum, a nice array of inserts with varying odds, and a single autograph set with long odds. This is what the hobby has needed for a long time to help bring kids back to collecting. I hope this becomes a mainstay every year. I also hope it stays this simple and they don’t add parallels of the inserts or confusing variations.
The only critic I have is that it would be nice if the inserts had a little more pizazz to them, like a little bit of foil, holo-foil, refractor finish, or something to make them stand out more from the base cards, though the die-cut jerseys look nice.

Totally agree with David’s comment above.

If a company is going to have a monopoly on a sport- as Panini does with basketball, it needs to offer more variety at the lower price end for young and new collectors to the hobby.
