1980 Giants Police Baseball Checklist and Details
The 1980 Giants Police set was given out as a part of a stadium giveaway on May 31, 1980. The 31-card checklist highlights the team on the front and offers safety tips on the back.
Cards are slightly over-sized, measuring approximately 2 5/8″ by 4 1/8″.
This full-color set features the player’s photo, the Giants’ logo, and the player’s name, number and position on the front of the cards. A facsimile autograph in an attractive blue ink is also on the front.
The backs are in orange and black. Tips from the Giants are the most prominent feature. There’s also the logo for the sponsoring radio station, KNBR. The San Francisco Police Department is also listed as a sponsor.
Card names are based on jersey numbers and are found on the front.
