Set Information

This 20-card standard-size set was the result of a unique collaboration between the NHL, the NHLPA and the five card manufacturers. This 20-card standard-size set was the result of a unique collaboration between the NHL, the NHLPA and the five card manufacturers. Each of the latter created four cards for inclusion in the set, which was available to collectors who sent in 20 wrappers plus postage and handling to a mailing address. The set also was available at the NHLPA booth at the 1996 National Convention for between five and ten wrappers, depending upon when you went to the booth. The set included five different designs, one unique to each contributing manufacturer. There also was the possibility of acquiring limited-edition upgrade versions of the cards. Cool Trade exchange cards were randomly inserted in packs of Bowman, Donruss Elite, Summit, Ultra series 2, and Upper Deck series 2. These could be mailed in to the participating licensee for redemption. The Emotion exchange card inserted in '95-96 Ultra series two was by far the most difficult to acquire. The redemption cards are priced individually below, and have an RP prefix amended to them for cataloguing purposes only, the RP prefix is not on the actual cards. [Collapse]
