This 30-card standard-size set of Calgary Flames was sponsored by IGA food stores and included manufacturers' discount coupons. One pack of cards was distributed in Calgary and Edmonton IGA stores with any grocery purchase of 10.00 or more. The cards were printed on thin card stock. The fronts had posed color action photos bordered in red. The player's name was printed vertically in the wider left border, and his uniform number and the team name appeared at the bottom of the picture. In black print on a white background, the backs presented biography and statistics (regular season and playoff). Packs were kept under the cash drawer, and therefore many of the cards were creased. Each pack contained three Oilers and two Flames cards. The checklist and coaches cards for both teams were not included in the packs but were available on a very limited basis through an uncut team sheet offer. Also the Osiecki card seemed to be in short supply, either because of short printing or short distribution. The cards were unnumbered and checklisted below in alphabetical order, with the coaches cards listed after the players. [Collapse]
