This 37-card standard-size set of New York Islanders was sponsored by Islander News and issued during the summer of 1985. The color photo on the front was enframed by a thin black border. A red and blue hockey stick formed the border on the left side of the picture, with the end of the stick below the picture. A red and blue hockey stick formed the border on the left side of the picture, with the end of the stick below the picture. The words "Islander News" appeared on the end of the stick, and the player's name was given to the right. The back had biographical information including a career summary on the player as well as the notation "Second Series". The key card in the set was the Pat LaFontaine card as it was issued concurrently with his O-Pee-Chee and Topps Rookie Cards. [Collapse]
