This 261-card standard-size set was basically two different sets but the second set was merely a reissue of the first Hall of Fame set done two years before, adding the new inductees since that time. The only difference in the first 240 cards in this later 1987 set and the prior set was the different copyright year at the bottom of each reverse in this set. Note however that the copyright line for the 1985 set confusingly showed a 1983 copyright date (apparently referring back to the post card set) vertically printed on the card back. The set featured members of the Hockey Hall of Fame portrayed by the artwork of Carlton McDiarmid. Backs were written in both French and English. The set was originally sold in the Canadian Sears 1985 Christmas Catalog. [Collapse]
