Since first seeing this thread, I've decided to collect Al Kaline and nobody but Al Kaline. I have all his regular issues from 1955-1974 (many of which I want to upgrade). I have his '61 and '62 AS cards, as well as the '64 AS coin and the '65 AS embossed insert. I also have his '67 pin-up, '68 poster, '71 super, '64 coin (#100), '63 Salada coin, and the '59 Pitchers Beware w/ Charlie Maxwell. I just recently added the 1963 Exhibits as well. Still have a long way to go!

Don't have much, since I just started this player collection after focusing mostly on hockey (Mike Modano). I would appreciate any help in this arena. Looking to build up anything I can get my hands on, doesn't matter what it is as long as it has his name and picture on it.

It's growing steadily, but I realized Ohlendorf was the way to go, with so many players having enormous card stats (in both numbers and prices). He's a steady sturdy pitcher with what looks like a long career ahead of him, but for now, the number of cards he has and the prices they're sitting at make him an ideal guy to collect. Plus there's that somewhat personal connection (despite the fact that we're not related) that exists in the same last name.

I'm also considering doing TTM, since I understand he's such a great guy (tidbit courtesy of jimfalbo21 and probably confirmed by numerous other Pirates fans). Wish the Pirates were going to play a few games in MN this season, but they're not.
