RE: 2018 RFFG - Week 1
I have written down all of the picks now. I won't get to watch the race live this year though. We have a mandatory company meeting Sunday and (of course) it just had to be scheduled for 3pm! I'll start watching as soon as I get home though. The meeting should only be about an hour, so I hope to be home by 4:30. We have to renew our OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Certification, so at least it is for a good reason. Since I've done it several times now, it would be nice if I could just take the test and go home instead of having to sit through the whole thing. I actually administered the test the last time we did it. But we have a bunch of employees who've never taken it, so I guess the boss needs me there to help him out.
Good luck to everyone and enjoy the race!

RE: 2018 RFFG - Week 1
Well Daytona never disappoints, alstott9adams I know you had a blast being there. First congrats to the #3 for winning the 500, I thought I had really made a mistake picking the 22 after the mistakes that were made but luck was with him. I hate to see the wrecks that collect everyone in the midst of it but that is racing on super speedways. Congrats to Bubba Wallace I think he did a very good job, I almost changed my pick to him, he is someone I am going to keep an eye on as the year progresses.

Second I would like to get opinions on this(I know I will just by bringing it up), what does everyone think about the last lap bump and pass by the #3 on the 10 car? To me that is classic racing at it's best, I hate Almirola didn't win but it is what it is. Just wondering on what some thoughts are because I know if that would have been a different car # then it would have been a whole different attitude with people saying that it was dirty racing and if you can't pass clean then you shouldn't put someone in the wall, where is all the outcry about safety that I have heard in the past? Ok, ready, get set, GO!!!!!!

I collect Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Kevin Garnett also certain High End Celtics HOF's.

RE: 2018 RFFG - Week 1
I think 3 has one coming. I know the 10 blocked but the 3 never made an attempt to go around. Instead he drove through him in the corner. I just didnt like it. I do think there is a double standard. You cant tell me if the 2 or the 18 did the same thing they wouldnt have been called to the hauler.

I did like seeing new guys at the front. It will be an interesting year.

RE: 2018 RFFG - Week 1
I completely agree with Nick. It was dirty. Austin just flat out dumped him. I am SO happy for Bubba and his 2nd place finish. Not happy with Hamlin running him into the wall after the race, but when am I ever happy with Hamlin?!

I am so glad I changed my pick. I just knew JJ would get caught up in someone else's mess. The change means I start the year as the leader! Here's where our driver's finished and the standings after week 1:

3rd - Hamlin (1 stage point)
4th - Logano (8 sp's)
7th - Blaney (18 sp's)
19th - Larson
25th - Kyle Busch
31st - Harvick (5 sp's)
33rd - Elliott (4 sp's)
38th - Johnson

1. spaz - 48
2. kev - 41
3T. lead - 35
3T. wsc - 35
5. nick - 18
6. csc - 12
7. dun - 10
8. a9a - 7
9. kd80 - 1
