Congratulations Houston on landing Verlander. I thought he'd fit nicely into Boston's rotation but I think you got a really good pitcher Houston.

Sad to see him go after all he's done here, but hope he can get back to the series with Houston.
I hated to see him go. He was unable to get a ring here in Detroit so I hope he gets one in Houston. I will always be a fan of his no matter where he plays. He does have a big contract but I feel that what he will bring to the Astros is invaluable! A wealth of high pressure playoff experience and shows very little signs of slowing down. He's a leader on and off the field and the fans in Houston will love having him there. Go get em JV!
