Thoughts? Error?
Noobie here. I've searched the forum but can't find any results about it.
Got some 2015 Panini Contenders cards in. Two cards caught my eye. School Colors, #42 Drew Smith and #48 Brandon Koch have the same photo on the front of the card - same guy on both cards. So obviously one isn't right. Anyone else notice it, or have any thoughts?

Are the card backs completely different?

The text on the backs are different, but as you can see in the pic below, even the photos on the back are the same.

That's poor attention to detail on Panini's part. It would have to be an error (mostly in judgement) but unless they correct it, it may not add any additional value. Topps pictured the wrong person several times but I don't think they ever produced two cards with the same picture in the same set and called them two different players.

Yea, this is just poor planning from Panini. Both players are pitching prospects from Dallas Baptist University, which is a small school. So the people at Panini probably just saw a pitcher in a DBU uniform and didn't realize that there were 2 pitchers from DBU in the set. The amazing thing is that this product has been out for a year, and the pictures in the Beckett database confirm that they used the same pictures for both players, yet one isn't listed as an uncorrected error (UER).
