1992 Ultra Chris Miller Autograph

1992 Ultra Chris Miller Autograph
Is anyone here familiar with the 1992 Ultra Chris Miller insert set? A while back I decided I wanted to start a collection of a specific player that would be affordable and challenging...and I picked Miller. I figured being an old Oregon QB, he would be significant to me and it would be a fun challenge.

I'm having some difficulty figuring out exactly what this set contains. According to my research, it was a 10 card career highlights set that was pack issued...and then they had 2 additional cards (#11 and #12) which were only available as a mail in. In addition to that...there was an autographed card. Or...was there 10 autos?

From what I have read (and I have even gone back my old late 1990s Beckett reference guide)...here is what I have learned (direct quote from large Beckett Price Guide #15) "Miller signed over 2000 of his subset cards." So, does that mean that only one card was signed...or all 10 of them were signed? Would a complete collection then include 10 signed and embossed cards? That is what I am trying to figure out.

Here are 2 different autos of that set...both appear to have Fleer embossing which would indicate pack issue. These are cards #2 and #10 which would lead me to believe that he signed all 10 cards (perhaps around 200 of each). Does anyone know?

I know for other players that signed similar sets for Fleer in the early 90s, they signed all 10 different cards. So my guess is that it would be the same for Chris Miller.
Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards.  Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.

That is helpful, thank you. Can you give me an example of the other auto sets like this that I can look at? I'm trying to understand these sets better. Thanks.

You know, I was looking into it more...and the 1992 Ultra Reggie White set has every card autographed and it's basically the same set. Beckett lists all 10 cards as signed. I'll bet the Chris Miller is the same way and the Beckett checklist just isn't perfect.

Yes, that's correct. Also the Beckett checklist is definitely far from perfect, so don't rely on it as an end all when it comes to figuring something out.
