The highlight of the article in my mind is that the writer poo-poohed that Hal "only lost $2,000" from the shill bidding. In my thinking, what difference does it make if it was $20, $200, $2,000 or $20,000?
The hobby and collectors are really hurt each and every time someone is a "victim" of a scam, regardless of the dollars involved and the culprits are given really lienent or no penalty for their fraud.
*When it's all said and done - all we have left is our reputation.
