A couple of interesting Stanton pickups (scans)
As I close in on 500 different Stantons (and almost 1,000 total), I wanted to share a couple that I picked up recently. I don't know much about this set. To my knowledge, they came from mini rip cards; however, I wonder whether they were part of a mini mini master set. In any event, they're not listed in Beckett.
Kimball Champion mini card for scale.
Thanks for looking.
Always looking for Verlander, Cabrera, Maybin, Mike Stanton (marlins), and Avisail Garcia.

Had to be rip card inserts, or weren't there mini rip cards?

I read that there were mini rip cards as well--that had mini minis inside. I'm not sure if these are the same mini minis that came from a mini rip card, or if they were part of a special master set given to winners of a contest, or something like that. The confusing part is that Beckett either has these cards listed incorrectly (as being /3) or they're not listed at all, as far as I can tell.

Wouldn't that be /2.

Beckett most likely listed them wrong. Congratulations on the puck ups. Kinda cool owning an entire print run.

Right, but the only ones I see in Beckett are listed as /3. These are probably them (but they're /2, obviously).
