Past few maildays...with a HUGE SHOUTOUT to Hofcollector!
Greetings!
Picked this 1966 Roger Maris up the other day and unfortunately the scan might not give it justice as I already have it in a magnetic holder.
Now, the shoutout. With my vintage sweet tooth needing to be tended to, I was able to snag this 1959 Willie Mays from Hofcollector for a more than fair price. I've had numerous online dealings in the past years but this was by far the most rewarding. If you ever get the chance to make a transaction with him, you won't be disappointed. Oh....here's the card. (Again, with the card being in a magnetic holder it might not be the best clarity.)
Happy Collecting!
Mark

I'm glad your happy Mark! It was an absolute pleasure doing business with you. That Maris is a beauty as well.

That '59 set is one of my favorites. I know everyone says that but it's just so simple and yet so beautiful.

Also awesome. If I thought about it long enough, I could give you reasons why I love any set from '48-'75, '33, '34 and '38 Goudey, '33 Tattoo Orbit, '39 Play Ball, the T 206's...

My all-time favorite set design is the 65 Topps with the team name in the banner. Although, all of the other sets you guys have mentioned could easily come in a close 2nd!

Those are some great cards. I also love vintage cards. Pretty much from anything from 1864 Troy Haymakers to 1969. I would say it is a safe bet the T206 is my favorite set.
HOF collector is a class act.
