I've heard that in the late 80's and early 90's you could buy a box of 86 fleer basketball for like 12-14 dollars.
I'm not sticking up for the dealer at all, some of them are cheeseball car salesmen who need to be shot!
But at the time I was looking for any Celtics player I could get. A couple of them I sold. I think I sold one of the MJs for $20. Which was cool for getting it in a maybe .50 pack. But I saw them selling for $100 & up at card shows. Either way I made a $19.50 profit so I guess it wasn't too bad.
