Bought 32 packs. Got an Utley SP and bunch of inserts.

HOWEVER! When I get there I see a guy with a tiny scale weighing each pack from 3 boxes! Lady said he comes in once a week to do this! I was and am furious!

Looks like Five Below is a $1 to $5 store. Never heard of it before so I had to look it up. So just hits it up along with all the Targets, Walmarts, Dollar Trees, etc. in the area. That's what our local searchers do.

Yeah its mostly toys and such store. But yeah I'm sure he goes to all of the places I'm the area

Wow! I had no idea stuff like that happened, although I do remember back in the 80's all of the suspicions about wax packs and people carefully opening and taking out the good cards and replacing them with commons and putting the wrapper back together. At least that was the suspicion at my LCS.

I would hope most LCS's would forbid that kind of shenanigans with scales. All it would take is a few folks catching someone doing that and the LCS would be hurting for business! Its essentially like rigging the lottery.

For the first time I caught a guy a few weeks ago feeling up packs at a Target and I couldn't believe the audacity.

He was just slowly moving from pack to pack feeling all the cards.

I said something to him and was close to notifying the manager. He didn't have any care in the world.

If I see this happen again, I will tell a manager because it it is over the top.

A scale? That guy should be escorted out.

Buy your packs and try your luck like everyone else. I am not sure if this is why I have gotten damaged cards in the past but could be from guys like these pack searchers who ruin cards.

Oh it is. Some of them even slightly bend the pack feeling for a thick card. Had that happen with a $100 Michael jordan parallel. Card was creased right down the middle from a searcher. Had he just bought the pack he would have been better off with that card than the -$5 retail jersey cards!
