Good morning everyone. I was at Target this morning and noticed they had Upper Deck Artifacts, Upper Deck Series 1 tin, and UD Fleer Ultra blasters available. I was curious if they are worth the $25, $30 and $20 price tags? or if I should just stick with a hobby box.

Generally, if you are a set builder, retails are fine. If you are a hit seeker, then I think that it's better to stick with hobby boxes. With the Young Guns, UD series 1 is good. As for Artifacts, odds are horrible.

Stay away from Artifacts, impossible to get anything but base cards out of them. Upper deck is okay but get the UD tins, they seem to be okay

Bought 2 of the artifacts boxes at Target, got a red parallel and a jersey card out of both. Both odds say that should not be possible. Also Target is the only place you can find the Artifacts with the Ice preview cards in them.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I decided to pass on the retail boxes and purchased a hobby box of SPx. The results are in the breaks section.
