RE: Trading question

So you may have 1 and want to list that same one for trade so you would put 1 "HAVE" and 1 "TRADE AWAY". In other cases you may have 2 of that card but only want to make 1 available for trade.
Entering your cards in this fashion can lead to mis-inventoried cards when trading.
Example- If you have (1) 1989 UD #1 K. Griffey Jr. and want to mark it so that it can be traded, you would want to only enter it in the "Trade Away" column.
When entered as such, when you do trade away your 1989 UD #1 Ken Griffey Jr., your ORG will correctly show 0 in all the columns.

Now if you have (1) 1989 #1 Ken Griffey Jr.and enter it as (1) "Have" and (1) "For Trade", when you trade that Griffey card, the "For Trade" column will correctly show (0) but your "Have" column will still INCORRECTLY show (1) for a card you no longer have.
(Setting your ORG up like this gives the false impression you have 2 Griffey cards in inventory from the start.)

Now if you have 2 Ken Griffey Jr cards, and you mark (1) Have and (1) For Trade, and do trade that Griffey card, your ORG will reflect correctly (1) Have and correctly (0) For Trade.

Yes, by not entering into the "Have" column you cannot get $$ totals when calculated for cards you actually have in your possession but it keeps the ORG so much more accurate and clean. When making large trades or just a lot of them, inventory can get a bit messy when double entering cards

Hope this cleared some questions up.
