1991 Stadium Club vs 1992 Stadium Club Brett Favre
If the 1991 is his "RC". Why is the 1992 so much higher in cost? I am starting a new RC PC. In looking for stadium club Brett Favres I noticed this. Why is the 1992 more desirable? I look forward to your responses.

I believe the 1992 was part of a "traded" set that wasn't produced in numbers anywhere near 1991 SC. Couple that with the fact it's the first card that has him in a Green Bay uniform, and it's a double whammy.

I have always thought his card in this series was dispportinately high compared to other hofers in the high series. Yes its short print for the junk wax era and he's in a Green Bay uniform but it seems really high compared to other greats in that series.

The high series was extremely limited in production compared to any other cards of that era. It was rumored that only 300 sixteen box cases are reported to have been produced! Each box had 36 packs with 15 cards per pack. If you do the math, that means 300 * 16 * 36 *15 = 2,592,000 TOTAL cards were made. With 100 cards in the set that comes out to 25,920 of each card. By today's standards that might seem absurdly high, however consider that in the early 90s there were typically millions of each card made, and an insert that was numbered to 10,000 was super rare. So base cards with only 25,000 copies each were considered pretty rare at the time. Which is what drove the price of these up. The fact that Favre was in a Packers uniform for the first time and was getting pretty hot in the hobby only helped this card soar in value.
