No offense as you are a Keenum fan, but that is at best a $50 card! That guy is most definitely smoking something with that asking price!

I'm sorry, but I have pretty much seen it all the last day or so. For instance, I'm sure Robin William's barely had time to reach room temperature before his autographs started skyrocketing on the bay. Just so happens I had been offering for his autograph from two days ago when the guy had it at 75.00 or best offer. After I heard the news, I went to see if he'd accepted, and it shot up to 350.00. At that time there was 12 of his autographs on the bay. Within an hour, well over 100.

Oh, and as for rookies this year; Apparently if they are graded, the sky's the limit, or if it has a decent patch it should be priced as a 1/1. I just shake my head, and move along. Saw a 1/1 Inception of Brandin Cooks with a mediocre patch go for 250.00 today. Not even on a bad day.

Here are a couple I think are incredibly overpriced:

Burbank has a bunch of 1999 I need, but it's all for sale at 90-95% BV.

Pretty much all of Johnathan Franklin's 1/1's, and anything under /25 lol. Despite playing in one game, and now being out with a career ending injury, they still want huge prices for his cards. I refuse to pay more than $10 or $12 for a non-auto/patch plate, and no more than $50 for any of his 1/1 cards. Yet some people are still asking in the hundreds for his 1/1s. Crazy! I think almost every card is overpriced if it's got an auto, patch, or combo there of. I just set my price for what I think a card is worth, and if I can't it for that, I just hope it'll pop up someday lol. I usually don't even consider buying a card unless it's about half the BV...but maybe that's just me.

I will probably never own this Tom Brady. I think I'll buy a small house in the country instead.

or this one...

And I would really like to have a 1/1 Ronda Rousey, but this one will never happen...

That shoulder pad is not horribly priced. Those things get great money. A lot better than most /5 cards.
Trying to finish these sets:
1999 Upper Deck Strike Force Quantum /100
2000 Score Complete Players Green/ Blue
2000 Leaf Piece of the Game Preview 4th Down Isaac Bruce
2008 Premier NFL Equipment /25 John Elway

Let me know if you have any available.

I am to the point if I need it, I buy it. Since I really only collect Colbert I am not afraid to pay up on stuff I need. When it comes to duplicates I don't pay very much.

RE: Card or cards you will probably never own due to overpricing on eBay, etc???
I would just say "Never say never".

A few years back I was hoarding cards for a guy playing in the AHL. I was getting patches for under $10, and grabbed a 1/1 patch/auto for under $50. Of course, someone had another patch/auto 1/1 and wanted $200 - non-negotiable. Also another seller had one of the same patches I bought for around $10, but he wanted $75 - also non-negotiable. They sat on EBay for over a year untouched.

Well, this player played his first game in the NHL, and every single one of his cards was bought up on EBay. They were lost, GONE. Until a few weeks later when I went to the local flea market. One of the dealers had almost all of them in his case. Seems a guy came in with the whole stack, trying to flip them, and this dealer got them for a fraction of the price. I bought pretty much all I wanted for $50.
