Agreed. Although "pedigree" players are literally hit and miss (ie, Barry Bond vs. Dale Berra) there's something to be said for supply and demand. There are legions of Yaz Fanz across the country buying his cards, so Mike Yaz is hot until he proves otherwise.

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.
