The card probably got flipped over in the s/n imprinting press, and luckily didn't imprint on top of Rod's head 
If you don't trade it to Pete, you could probably return it to Topps as damaged.... But that would be a waste of a unique card. .... It would be interesting if its a unique incident, or if the whole stack of Carew's were just put into the imprinter wrong. Anyone have one of these done correctly?

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.
