If you could only collect 1 set what would it be?
I am not asking about what to invest in. I am curious about what you think is the best product to collect. What has the best look. What has the best assortment of players.

For me, SPA for the auto RC's and Rookie patches (hard-signed).
UD 1 and 2 are not far behind.

Of those sets, I went with SPx...not sure why though. If I was a set collectore though, I'd be chasing the 97/98 UD Jerseys!

I went with Ice. The /99s are obviously tough, but I think it's a sharp looking set and it's a nice balance of challenge to put together and long-term value.
UD 1 & 2 are obviously standards, but it's just not that exciting...
SPA would make the list, but there are always two redemptions that take 3 years to fill and they are nobodys that cost you $50 to fill...
SPx would also be nice except that I'm just not a sticker-auto fan.
MVP will depend on how it's configured moving forward. If it's the low-end offering of the past, it's just too 'easy' to put together.

I like the look of "ICE", personally.

I love collecting ICE, even though i know i'll never complete an actual set (unless i get into the older sets and even that is tough) my first set completion was the 2008-09 MVP set and i loved the way it looked. I loved how accessable it was, how thick the cards were and the inserts. However, the basic set was indeed way to easy to finish. I thought about going after the super script and gold script, but those are few and far between and too many to get. I don't like the way the inserts looked as an MVP set so i hope that changes. i don't like sticker autos either so SPX is out and i've never actually owned a box of SPA. and series one and 2 don't thrill me either.

I would say UD Series 1 and 2. I love the look of Ice, however the player selection is just not there. If they did a a set with the look of Ice and the Player Selection of Series 1 and 2, then that would be my choice to collect!

I decided not to vote as I would and do collect ITG Between The Pipes. If I could only collect one of those sets I would not be collecting. Cool idea for a topic.

when Ice was by itself, i would say ice, but since ice is in other products
i say UD 1 & 2

Sorry i have to set my vote for MVP....base set and inserts are easy to do but when you go farther than that parallels, AU, GU can be a pain to get lol and i know what i'm talking about lol
