Ultimately it's up to my boss(with some of my input) and we didn't press charges because he was cooperative and because this is a felony. He's 19 and having that on his record would be devastating to any future career plans for him.

This is the reason we don't have any outsiders in our shop. We had this happen in the past...so many people would give in to temptation...since most card shops never have an exact inventory list, its too hard to keep track of everything. Hopefully it never happens to your bosses shop again.
