My first rip card - Update Ripped
I opened two hobby boxes of 2013 Allen & Ginter, and got my first rip card:

Needless to say I am still debating what to do. I know others have asked before, and right now I am tempted to rip. Anyway, thought that I would share.
Collecting the following players:
Steve Garvey (177 different cards) --Willie McCovey (168 different cards) --Will Clark (199 different cards) --Mel Ott (132 different cards) --Willie Mays (28 different cards)
=Currently collecting vintage tobacco and tea cards as well as Topps Allen and Ginter=

So my question, was it worth the rip?

RE: My first rip card
I have 2 Rip cards .... 2011 Ubaldo Jimenez /25 and 2013 Mike Trout /10. For fear of a mini redemption in the 2013 rip card, I might have to rip the Trout before a possible expiration date passes. The 2011 A&G didn't have redemptions in the rip cards, so I've got time.

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

I've never had a rip or seen one ripped. What can you get out of it? Mini autos and mini woods?

Thanks. Not really looking to sell or trade as this is a hobby for me not a business. Guess my hesitation is that I am so adverse to intentionally defacing/maring the card. That said, not knowing what is inside is starting to get the better of me (almost opened it twice today). Will have to think some more on it, and rest assured will post if I rip.
