that is correct! the more you post, the more stars you get and the higher member ranking you get. Look at how many stars i have! it's because i'm obnoxious!

you can go to your private message section, hit create new message (or whatever it says), type in the members name you wish to contact, and fill in the message accordingly rather than trying to find the 'send member a private message' tab, which you won't find unless they have posted somewhere.
