Wait.. What?

Wait.. What?
I just saw a Yasiel Puig regular 2013 Bowman Platinum card with PSA 10 going for $78 with 18 bids... My question is, its 10x easier to get a 10 from PSA than Beckett, so why get it graded through Beckett when I can get more with a PSA 10 than a BGS 9 or even a hard to get 9.5... Can anyone help me out on this?

RE: Wait.. What?
a lot of graded collectors only buy PSA. or psa has a lower pop. of that card. example; a BGS 9.5 1993 sp jeter rc goes for $2,500, while the last two psa 10's sold for $25,000. because bgs has about 100 9.5 graded while psa has 11 graded 10's.
SET NEEDS;
2012 tribute blue autos - need most
1995-98 football inserts

So why wouldn't everyone just get PSA? In my experience PSA grades cards at 10 even when they are not centered. I always got Beckett because I thought they were the most valued haha

Not having many graded cards & without looking into grading info, I figured PSA was usually reserved for vintage & BCGS for modern.

What would a Puig BGS 10 get?

Im guessing around $120, but I could be wrong. But getting a BGS 10 is almost like striking gold, so I think right now PSA has my vote

Looking with a 10x magnifying glass I couldn't understand the 8 grade, thought a 9 or 9.5 if BCGS graded it.

Those corners look real sharp, with that centering though BGS is definitely gonna give you a 9, unless it was a 1/1 superfractor of Puig or Strasburg, then apparently they just give 10's

Yeah I am about to get a 1993 SP Derek Jeter Graded by PSA as it looks like a 10 to me but the odds are I will get a 9. But I can only hope and see.
Derek Jeter Collector from 1992-1996. 305 out of 306 99% complete.

1450/1919 1990's Jeter cards 76%

I think that PSA registry drives prices up, beckett has started the same it just has not caught on yet. PSA set builders dream to say I have nicest set in world. Beckett is more for rookie cards etc.
