It wasn't handed to them. Slash on the hands on a clear breakaway that took away a scoring chance = penalty shot in any league any where.

Looked more like a tap to me... so, because Frolik can't hang on to the puck, he gets a penalty shot? If that happens in the neutral zone, there's no call and it's just a turn over. They had 3 games to close out the Hawks..cant blame it all on one play..

I think the officiating was slightly tilted in the Hawks favor the entire series, but come playoff time, teams have to play to a level that would render officiating irrelevant. The Wings didn't do that Bucket - http://s251.photobucket.com/albums/gg286/phildonu37/ (I don't update my bucket when stuff is gone)
reguardless if it was a slash or anything he hit him in the hands which interferred with his shot on a break away its pen shot even if it happened to Detroit

Point is, a marginal call goes in your favor and its definitely a penalty shot, but a marginal call goes against you and you 'win game 7 twice'? Celebrate the win, it's well-deserved - Hawks played really well to come back and win three straight. Just don't be catty about it Bucket - http://s251.photobucket.com/albums/gg286/phildonu37/ (I don't update my bucket when stuff is gone) |
