it's getting close to that time of the year, when the scams and bad trades start running on more frequent basis, especially with school being out, and more people having nothing to do than to find some way to get something for free.
Alway's remember....
1. If the deal sounds to good to be true, it more than likely is.........
2. If you have doubts or suspicions about a member, always ask FLOYDTOWN to check them out.
2a: A person must be 18 yrs of age or older to be a member here, and especially to trade........
3. Always Check the other persons feedback, don't just look at the numbers, look at the feedback left by any other member that person has traded with...
4. ESTABLISHED MEMBERS, ALWAYS MAKE NEW MEMBERS SEND FIRST. JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE SAYS THEY HAVE PERFECT FEEDBACK ON EBAY OR ON ANOTHER SITE, DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY ARE A GOOD TRADER HERE AND SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SEND FIRST.
THE BETTER AND MORE REPUTABLE TRADERS WILL ALWAYS SEND FIRST TO AN ESTABLISHED MEMBER IF ASKED TO DO SO,
QUESTIONABLE, AND BAD TRADERS, WILL ALWAYS MAKE SOME EXCUSE, OR USE THE " I HAVE PERFECT FEEDBACK ON EBAY OR ANOTHER SITE" AND I REFUSE TO SEND FIRST, OR THEY ASK TO SEND AT THE SAME TIME, ALWAYS MAKE THEM SEND FIRST.
5. Never, ever agree to trade something you can't afford to possibly lose, in case the other trader decides to cut and run.
6. DO NOT ever agree to a high end trade with a new member, until they have established themselves HERE, not there.... What they do on another site, means diddly squat here, they have to build their reputation Here, just like they had to build there reputation there, as most sites have a New Members send first Policy for a certain number of trades ( 20 to 25 is the norm)
7: ALWAYS check the "Looking for these Members" thread, and let FLOYDTOWN know if your potential trade partner is on that list or from that area listed...
