RE: Super (?) Box
ehh... For $109 I would expect better, but that is the chance you take.

I was saying before, I think I almost did better with my $1 grab bag than I did with the Super Box.

Not Bad for a buck!

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

Well, I just wanted to update this thread! JacobyStealsHome promised and delivered! He promises to be the Best Dutch auction and he's totally right ... And then some! I put in a bid for 110 lots and he gave me over $700 BV of cards in return. He met and exceeded any of my expectations. I guess one of the positives of a Yankee Collector dealing with a Red Sox fan is that he doesn't mind getting rid of Yankee cards Smile he loaded me up with all sorts of Mattingly, Munson, Mantle and Jeter cards. Too many to show, but here are some goodies!

There were roughly 50 Yankee cards ranging from $2 -$20. There were about 10 various relics, a couple of auto cards, and a ton of s/n cards. 125+/- in total!!!

But .....

The two cards that totally knocked me out .....

A Rickey Rookie ( and he must have read my mind, because I was just searching eBay to replace a lesser condition Rickey ... Now I don't have to ... Thanks, Bro!)

And like he promised, a 1/1 cyan printing plate of Kendrys Morales from 2011 Topps Chrome!
If you've been thinking about buying a Super Box from SBay, don't bother, you're better off with Jacobystealshome and his Dutch auction! And some of the proceeds go to charity ... So it's a win- win for everyone!

He must be busy packing and shipping cards Smile

Has anyone heard anything about the Mantle Rookie from SBay Cards? I checked their site to see if the card was given away yet, but they didn't mention that it was or that it wasn't. Just curious.

Wow, I wish I would have found this thread before I droped the $109 on a Super Box. Haven't received it yet but from what I'm hearing I shouldn't keep my hopes up that much. Jacoby, where can I find out more about your auctions?
