Personally, I like BGS over PSA, but I collected 90s and newer, think PSA is the way to go from the 90s back.

Collecting BGS or PSA

Idk guys.... I'd take a BGS 9 Jordan RC all day over a PSA 9 .... Just the simple fact that a card of THAT magnitude can move around in the PSA holder & potentially cause DAMAGE!!! ummm no thanks, BGS all day!

Still don't understand why PSA doesn't sleeve their cards.
I like PSA better. Just personal preference.

So I thought I would revive this thread a little. I just was searching ebay and bought 2 PSA 10 Carmelo Anthony topps chrome RC's for $19.00 plus $2.95 for shipping. I think the seller screwed up because that is just a ridiculously low price.
I have been sort of sticking to a plan of buying pre 2000 cards in psa and post 2000 cards in bgs. This sort of messes that up, but for $19 I couldn't resist. I was also noticing Lebron Topps Chrome RCs are seeming to sell higher in PSA 10 over BGS 9.5. PSA 10 is getting $250-$300 and BGS 9.5 $150-$200. I am thinking about changing my buying plans over to buy all psa 10's. The only thing I think you have to consider is centering. It seems PSA is not as strict as BGS on centering when handing out 10s |
