anyone know anything about 51-52 Parkhurst
Someone is offering me this card for a decent price (well..less than 1/4 bv), but its in really good shape, which terrifies me. Not to mention it's not graded....opinions?

Sometimes one needs to take a chance. Perhaps it is a diamond, perhaps it is coal. Life is full of chances, take one I say.

thats what I'm thinking as well, I just want some rough opinions, I mean I've never even seen one of these before to even know if its close. I'm pretty much just asking to see if it's an obvious fake or not lol

My gut reaction would say that it is authentic. My brother-in-law spent some time trying to put together a set of these (insane I know) and I was amazed not only at the quality of some of the cards he found but the price at which he got them. I'd say take a shot.

It looks real to me, but I'm no expert. I don't own ny 51-52 , just a 59-60 King Clancy in expectable shape and a 57-58 Olmstead/Chadwick that's actually pretty decent.

Theres a decent amount of stuff on the net about the 51-52 set, and how to tell if its fake, i can not say its real 100% but the back of the card is the key and the crispness of the picture. My "fake" 51-52 Babando i own the back is not like that.
I collect in order 1. Dick Allen everything 2. Brian Omogrosso 1/1 3. Past Present and Future Penguins RC 4. Western PA MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL RC's 5. Pitt players in the NBA RC's

I've got like 50 of them and it looks good to me. Condition isnt great - off center, some discoloration and very soft corners, but I'm guessing you're paying about $50 which isn't too bad. The key would be the size - these things are pretty small

It's a gamble for sure, but it does look good to me. Phil says that it's a gooder... I would say go with that.

It is a real one. We deal a great amount of vintage. Nice find if the price us 1/4,
