Are the Chrome Tall Boys supposed to be Autographed?

As there is a disclaimer stating:

" The signing of Topps Autograph cards is witnessed by a Topps Representative to guarantee Authenticity"

As I recall Topps did not issue Auto'ed cards back in 1957

They are all like that because in the 2012 base Topps set they were only available in autographed form and they just used the same molds for the chrome. So the non-autographed versions have the same info as the auto versions.
