Boxes of Baseball Cards in 2013
#11

RE: Boxes of Baseball Cards in 2013
I have to admit that until my son gets to be of age where he can enjoy the breaking of boxes, I am giving up on them. I have recently found that it is much cheaper to buy the entire base set (and some sets with SPs or inserts) on E-bay than what I would purchase a hobby box for and most times not get the entire base set. That has been my strategy lately and I pick up the multi-color parallels and auto/GU on E-bay for only the Yankees.

My one exception will probably be for Bowman Platinum (if Topps has wrapper redemptions for them at next year's National Sports Collector's Convention) and if Topps does the minis again next year with the release at the show.

Good idea, but I like opening boxes too much for that to work for me.
