RE: The Big Trade Up
dlcarst - thanks for posting - that guy's definitely got me beat!

jacoby: No, I suppose it doesn't have to be baseball only. Baseball just happens to be the only sport I bought the price guide subscription for. Smile
Quick stats for those interested:

5 trades so far; I'm up 7,900% from the initial Carlton Fisk I started with (once this current trade is complete).

I say stick with baseball...don't pollute a good thing. Also as long as you keep the trade up under 10$ over current card I doubt you will have problems. You have already done well and I'm sure you will do much better in the coming months.

This is a fun read. This guy obviously had some help with that first trade. My advice for you is look for something either hard to find or something you know that someone else will be looking for. There will come a point where people will not want to trade down unless you have something enticing. Someone might be willing to trade a 20 dollar parallel for a 10 dollar auto, or a 25 dollar Ben Zobrist for a 12 dollar Derek Jeter. Good luck, it will be an interesting thread to follow.

No way I trade a $25 Ben "The Zorilla" Zobrist for a $12 Jeter! lol... Wink Go Rays! On the other hand... I'm sure I have a few $12 Jeter's, whose got some $25 Zobrist's??? Big Grin

RE: The Big Trade Up
Ok - well, I received a few messages from people persuading me to stick to baseball. So that's what we'll do. Look for an update soon! Thanks for following along.
