Yeah, I didn't have much luck, though I never really did with opening packs/boxes/etc. I think in the long run, my best one was a Dave Roberts AU. He has a special place in Red Sox lore.

I don't even remember but what's the centering like on those sets? I know the chrome version of the traded set was simply awful in regards to centering.

Why would there be autos included in a set? Do you mean retail/hobby box? Maybe I'm off base...

The traded were only sold as sets at that time and not in pack/box form. Each set included one autographed card. There were a few Bowman sets just like that within that timeframe as well. Think I have a few sealed sitting in the closet.

do a search for 1999 Topps Traded set. they give you one auto per box.

Like the member above me has said, topps has done this before. I got the USA retail team set off Amazon and that is where I got my Addison Russell auto.

Cheap neat sets with a guaranteed random auto!
