what is a rip card?

There's a little tab on the back of this card, and when you rip it open, there is a mini card inside. The card inside could be a regular mini card, or it could be a wooden mini, a red ink auto #10 or even a redemption for a full piece of authentic memorabilia.

If you go to Ebay and search Allen & Ginter rip cards, you'll get a real good sample of what has been inside of these so far this season.

They are rare insert cards in ALlen & Ginter sets that you can tear open to reveal a hidden mini card inside. The mini card inside is typically a SP mini variation, but can sometimes be a rare auto or 1/1 wood mini card. Here's a guy ripping one:
