Its funny how that happens. I put out that I collect RB Chris Henry and I have actually Lost the last 5 auctions I bid on. Usually I could get cards around $3 to $10 for the Higher end stuff. Now they are going for double or triple what they used to.

I know what you mean. I also collect wheats. Used to get rolls (with silver dimes, indian heads, etc) for less than $10. Now, the cheapest ones are pushing $25-$30

everything that all of you are saying is exactly what is happening. ive lost the last three auctions, prices are going up, its just nuts when for the last 4 years ive been able to get the rare stuff, 1/1 stuff without a drop in the bucket in the bank account and now its like wtf.

I suspect part of what is happening to you is what happened to me. I've been buying Bradford autographs. I bought a 1/1 Letterman after negotiating a price. A couple weeks later, a different letter showed up, but at a higher price. I didn't have as much money this time, so I sent a lower offer. She wouldn't budge at all. She even said, "I saw another one go for $100 higher than you offered, so I am going to pass on your offer." It was my purchase she was talking about. I was driving up the prices.

You may be too. You might also be driving up interest in other 'prospectors'. They see you snatching up stuff, so they want in on the action.

i can agree to a point, but his stuff has never been hi demand except when he was first drafted. its been cheap for years and now all going up.
