QUESTION: crossover PSA to BGS
#51

RE: QUESTION: crossover PSA to BGS
Now your just being silly.

The term "gem mint" is JUST AN INDICATOR TO THE CONDITION, as I said before. The card value is in the grade.

RE: QUESTION: crossover PSA to BGS
9.5 is the number assigned to designate a grade/condition of Gem Mint by BGS correct? I mean, in their own grading pages, they identify it as "Gem Mint 9.5".

Is a PSA 10 Gem Mint?
Is a BGS 9.5 Gem Mint?

Seems equal to me. If you're solely hung up on the number, well good luck with that. A number alone is meaningless without an assigned definition. Would you then prefer an SGC 100 over a BGS 10?

RE: QUESTION: crossover PSA to BGS
Its been a battlefield on here for the past 12 hours. Here is my next 2 cents.

PSA would never grade this a 10. All of my PSA 10's are centered perfectly. 65/35 centering is an automatic PSA 9. I think at best this Superfractor is a 65/35 on the centering, maybe 60/40 on a good day.

BGS standards call for a 9 to be issued on centering if the centering is 55/45.

RE: QUESTION: crossover PSA to BGS
I sent this in for graded card review with a minimum BGS grade of 9.5. It came back un-cracked meaning it was a BGS 9. Off center.

Same thing happened to this card. BGS 9.

These were both PSA 10's

I'd post my (4) PSA 10's that didn't get cracked b/c of questionable authenticity edge, but I don't have a scanner.

I pretty much suck at the grading game but I'll just say on the 2001 Fleer Giants card I do see a centering issue there.

I have physical evidence, but I don't have to give it to you. Besides, I don't have a scanner.
