Questions about 1997 Skybox Metal Universe

I have seen boxes of retail and hobby of this box sell recently. I had a friend tell me that the odds of getting good cards is the same whether its retail or hobby from the late 90's boxes. Can anyone confirm that odds are the same for that era?

Yes, the odds are no different. The only thing you need to be aware of is that some inserts are hobby exclusive and vice versa. For example you cannot pull a Rave or Super Rave from a retail Z-Force box.
