Need help with a Ted Williams card

Need help with a Ted Williams card
I don't understand why I can't find this card. It has a 1948 copyright on the back but there isn't a 48 Leaf Ted Williams in the OPG. Is it the '49 Leaf? I'm not too good with vintage and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's listed in the OPG as 1949. Here is the URL to the page for this particular card.
http://www.beckett.com/baseball/1949/lea...ms-3582938
I've seen cards from this set labeled as 1948, 1949, or even 1948-1949.

Some of the cards carry the 1948 copyright but it's believed that the set wasn't actually released until 1949. Similar to what used to happen with Topps and Upper Deck. I don't know when this started/stopped but base Topps and Upper Deck came out before the new year, at least some years. For example, I just pulled a 1992 Upper Deck card out of my "leaving soon" box but it has a copyright date of 1991.

Dang, what an awesome card!
Interested in EX-MT or better pre-'56 Cardinals, '53 Bowman Color & '74-'78 Topps.
