All-Star Game: "I Say"
I say they should change the AS schedule and hold it at the end of the season. Then the players could play some real hockey without worrying about injury. I know it's for entertainment value but at the same time reduces the STAR players' STAR QUALITY if they are not playing the hockey they play...
Would be awesome to see them all involved in an actual game, raise the stakes and make it more compeditive. I'm not saying take eachothers heads off but atleast have no worry about the 2nd half of the season.
What do you say?

I like listening to Carey Price. He is an entertaining guy in the net.

I would agree. It may also allow a player with a great second half a chance at becoming an all-star. A little incentive to win it would be nice, ala Major League Baseball.

C'mon now... you're trying to tell me that people wouldn't go to an NHL All-Star game with full contact, no holding back on skills (i.e. Chara slapshot) and a bigger reward for the winning team???
I find that HIGHLY unlikely!

It was entertaining for shinny, but a little more contact would be good too.

Nay, if you want hard fought games watch the play-offs. The All Star game is a goofy, good time event for fans and should be kept that way imo. All year long we see hard battles. I like the fact that the All Star game gives us something different, the lighter side of sports as it were with Giroux trying to trip up Hartnell, Gabby getting a hat trick on Hank and all the in game/on ice commentary from players. Its a fun event, lets keep it that way.
