OT: ebay advice
ok, so i purchased a card with free shipping. the seller had listed that items would arrive 4-8 business days after payment cleared. it has been 10 days since payment has cleared and he has marked it for shipment TODAY with DC....shipping was free, but 10 days without shipping it?
Plus he is ignoring my messages. What would you guys/gals do?

Assuming you're looking at the shipping tab (and not the auction text itself) remember that the "4-8 days to arrive" line is automatically inserted by Ebay, and sellers can't control that.
That being said, not shipping for 10 days is ridiculous. Assuming the card arrives safe and sound, I'd probably leave an overall positive feedback, but heavily ding communication and shipping time stars. If any other issues come up between now and receipt, I'd lean more toward a neutral.

It will only let you ding shipping time not the charges but if he has any kind of handling time on there and it gets there when ebay estimates it to be you cant even ding that

the only thing I would ding him on (if you really want) would be communication. Only because he never responded. At the end of the day though, if you got what you wanted, waiting a few extra days is no real big deal.

Similar situation where seller marked item shipped 8 days after payment. When I went home, it was in the mailbox. Could be timing on their end. Who knows. Good Luck.

Right, so you won the auction and if there were no weekends taken into account should have been shipped and on it's way. 10 - 3 = 7 too long, maybe. 3-5 days travel time 7-3 or 5 = 4 or 2 so really you are looking at a couple of days. If there was a weekend involved, even less. At any rate, all I'm trying to say is that if the card arrives in good condition, you got what you paid for. The shipping stuff on ebay is an estimate and we all know life can get in the way. Like I said, ding him on communication if you want, but that's about it. Just my $.02
