Why even keep a guy who is 1/10 on 50+ yds in the past few years, he is not a good kicker, they could of tied it earlier on a 51 yd attempt but they didn't even have confidence for that an NFL kicker should be able to kick 53-54 yds easily, accuracy aside.

How about Flacco who threw the ball away on 4th and 6 when Smith was open 10 yards deeper

It wasnt a drop...The ball was knocked out.
My question is, he caught the ball and took steps then the ball was knocked out, why wasnt it a TD or Fumble out of bounds?

I dont think he fully had control and made a football move before the hand came in and stripped it....it was very close to being a catch tho.

Didnt take 2 steps. Only one foot down and did not complete the "catching motion"

The Evans play might have been called a td last year, but now there is the Calvin Johnson rule, and mandatory replay on all scores.
