Im pretty new to Hockey cards, and have been looking into new box buys. I was just wondering what year of Artifacts all you guys liked better. and how you did witht he years. I know Taylor hall Rc are in the 10-11 and a bunch of good rookies. I just wanted to ask you guys what good inserts i can look for in both and what would be the better buy? Thanks.... I did buy a few packs the other night, of 11-12 Artifacts from Target. I did get a Frozen Tundra card but it was just a common player from the Kings. Still was okay with only buying three packs.

I am a big fan of 11-12 Artifacts. I like the design this year. I don't know much about last years set. I have opened 4 boxes of 11-12 and have had some good luck with a patch card in each box.

I was one of the lucky ones who hasn't gotten any patches in 2 boxes of 11-12 but I still prefer it to last years more hits and auto rookie redemptions #'d to 99 makes it even that much more appealing.

have bought 2 full boxes of both years and i have to say i like 11-12 signifigantly better, better design and to me seems like bigger pulls come out of that stuff!

I would say 11-12. For as long as I've been on these boards the attitude towards Artifacts has seemed kind of ambivalent but people seem to be really busting boxes with enthusiasm this year. Maybe not as many big rookies as 10-11 but apparently there's a lot of nice GU stuff to be had this year.

Those lucky kids... I haven't got any patches from the break I did; all I got was some crappy Kane/Toews/Hossa Triple Fight Straps /5 out of the 11-12 break... Got another coming in too!!

Go with this years for sure! Great set to make!

I agreee 2010-11 has the rookies... but this years rookie class is just as equally good I think... Hopkins, Landeskog, Conolly, Schefiele, Couturier... etc.....

Check my signature for my photobucket link... I have a set of Emerald jersey/patchs in progress... they are sweet. Once i puled the Roy and Subban I was hooked for the rest.... lol go with 2011-2012's for sure.

both this year and last year is nice in my mind
