1990s packs of cards

1990s packs of cards
I have the opportunity to buy some packs of 1990s cards from a shop in the United Kingdom.

Which of the following should I snap up? Which should I avoid? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am interested in people's opinions.

(I am in two minds about whether to keep the cards for myself or whether I should trade them for cards for my personal collection. It might be fun to open a few packs though - I haven't busted any packs/boxes for a year or two!)

1998-99 Skybox Premium Series 1
1998-99 Skybox Metal Universe
1997-98 Skybox Z-Force Series 2
1997-98 UD3
1998-99 Topps Finest
1998-99 Upper Deck Hobby Series 1
1997-98 Fleer Ultra Series 2

UD3 for sure, I've always liked the look of them. Smile Z-force is always a nice looking set and there are some good cards in there. Finest is almost an always nod.

All of those skybox products could yield an autographics I believe. The early years of those are soaring right now. 98-99 Finest has a couple decent RCs if it's series two. I'd probably hold off on the 98-99 Upper Deck and the Ultra packs and at least consider the rest. Good luck!
I collect Michael Jordan, Mitch Richmond, and Ohio State players (football and basketball) in OSU gear. I strongly prefer 90's-era cards and use newer cards primarily for trade bait!

Thanks guys.

I decided to buy all of them in the end.

I might open them in a few months as a 30th Birthday present to myself (which I know sounds unbelievably sad, but it'd be fun!).

RE: 1990s packs of cards
Thanks guys!

In the end, the seller no longer had the Upper Deck cards, so this is what I decided to buy:

1997-98 Skybox Z-Force Series 2 (x 33 packs)
1998-99 Skybox Metal Universe (x 21 packs)
1998-99 Topps Finest (x 16 packs)
1998-99 Skybox Premium Series 1 (x 5 packs)
1997-98 Fleer Ultra Series 2 (x 2 packs)
1997-98 UD3 (x 1 pack)

I still haven't decided whether to open them or re-sell them.... I'm getting a headache trying to decide!

I think the Metal Universe cards look most exciting.

RE: 1990s packs of cards
TONS of potential great cards in there...I only want dibs on one: If you pull the Hardwood Honors MJ insert from 98-99 finest I want a shot at it. Great looking card, really tough to find. I pulled the Glen Rice and have it for trade only if a random Rice collector comes along cause I really like it!

and that's not a sad birthday idea it's awesome! I just wouldn't be able to wait that long!
