Anyway, I'm going to be the dissenting opinion on this. I'm not sure he can live up to a $13 million a year contract. My fear is that he will be injured for much of it.

We had the same fear with Berkman at this time last year. Sadly to say Beltran is the best option left as far as free agaent OF's. Unless you want to tie up a bunch on Prince and who knows when and if his big body will break down.

With Wainwright healthy. That is one of the best starting rotations in the league. Hopefully, Beltran can be healthy and it won't replace Pujols, but it will be a great lineup.
